miss out if two of your favourite presentations take place at the same time.

4. Stations operate without permission in Costa Rica

Since 2019, a group of radio amateurs from Costa Rica have put online a consultation
website for all radio amateurs in the country and the world, so that they can verify
the legal conditions of the operators with whom they communicate.

Although there are other database sites on the Internet, with callsigns, it is known
that not all this information is correct, many are registered without a license,
just by sending an email with a name, surname and an illegal callsign.

Our site has the data provided by SUTEL, the government institution that regulates
the Radioelectric Spectrum in Costa Rica. It has become common to see in the
10-meter report, stations that have expired for more than 6 years and the QSOs
continue to be given, pirate stations? they will always exist, to the detriment
of Amateur Radio.
