1. Request for clear frequencies during Volcano Emergency


As mentioned in last weeks' bulletin the Carribean Emergency and Weather Net
has been providing 24H coverage during the volcanic eruption on the island
of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

CEWN utilizes 3.815 MHz LSB and 7.188 MHz LSB. CEWN is requesting that Radio
Amateurs not involved in the volcano response to keep these frequencies clear.

2. Simcoe County Hamfest 2021 moved to Saturday Sept 18th.


Due to the Covid situation nosedive, we have cancelled the Saturday May 8th and
rescheduled September 18th at the Grenfel Community Centre.

4. GEOMAGNETIC STORM WARNING


NOAA forecasters say that G2-class geomagnetic storms are possible on
April 25th when a coronal mass ejection (CME) is expected to hit Earth's
magnetic field. The CME was hurled in our direction April 22nd by a C3.8-class
flare from sunspot AR2816. If the geomagnetic storm occurs as predicted,
auroras could dip into northern-tier US states from Maine to Washington.
